FAQs

So why the name "WeDrink" ?
We based our name on the uniquely satisfying feeling you get when you drink from one of our products, and you know that someone less fortunate now also has clean water to drink.

CHARITIES

So how much exactly are you giving? (Sales, Revenue, Income, Profit... I'm not a business person, what's the difference?)
By pledging to give half of sales, we literally take the entire list price we receive from customers, divide it by two, and give that amount to charity. So if the bottle is 20 dollars, we immediately give 10 to charity, then we start paying our own bills with what's left over. Non-C.M.P. companies typically just give portions of their profits (whats left over after they pay their bills, and themselves).

Half of Sales to Charity? How can you afford that?
Well, the truth is, we almost can't. After manufacturing, distribution, fulfillment, and advertisement, etc., we make almost no money, and if we didn't run things as efficiently as we do, wed be losing money. But in the end the charities make mad money, and that's what's up. Feel free to help out by telling friends and family about WeDrink and WeGiveh2o.com, - the faster we spread, the better we can serve our charities.

How do I know the charities are getting the money?
Feel free to contact any of our charities mentioned to check and make sure we are legit. We so strongly believe in honest business practices that, though some dread this occurance, WeDrink is currently arranging a full audit of our company.

What exactly is CMP?

PRODUCTS

Why metal bottles?
We're glad you asked. Disposable plastic water bottles are evil. This is a scientific truth.
Joking aside, we could go on for days about this, but here are the Top Five Reasons to give up bottled water!

Are your products BPA-free?
You know it.

Are they dishwasher-safe?
The coffee mugs are perfectly fine in the dishwasher. However, because imprinting doesn't like to stick to metal very well, the logos can fade on the metal bottles if put in the dishwasher. They can be cleaned very easily with baking soda or vinegar. Throwing rice in there with the vinegar and shaking it up really gets the job done.

Aluminum or Steel?
Here at WeDrink, we understand that in the metal bottle world, there are some that like aluminum and some that like steel. But we're not here to pick sides. We just want to promote reusable bottles while raising money for charity.

Why Steel?
Advocates for the stainless steel bottles tend to prefer steel for it's durability (aluminum bottles can dent if they take a hard fall). There is also controversy over aluminum leeching into the water if the lining breaks, but this is extremely rare, and our scouring of PubMed, a respected aggregator of scientific research, yielded no articles with causal links between aluminum bottles and any harmful affects whatsoever.

Why Aluminum?
Fans of aluminum usually praise it for being so light-weight. See our above answer under Steel for some more information on this sweet, sweet bottle.

What's all this talk about aluminum "leeching?"
This current buzzword isn't really something to get worked up over, but we'll leave it to the scientists to give proper explanations.

Can I put the metal bottles in the freezer
Probably not a good idea. If you do, make sure it isn't completely full. When liquid freezes it usually expands, and could "bend" your bottle. Metal also gets pretty cold, so having a giganto-koozie to stick it in would probably be good.

Can I put hot liquid in the metal bottles?
Because they are not insulated, the bottles themselves will get really hot, so we advise not to do this unless you put the bottle in something insulated like one of those really big koozies.

Are the metal bottles indestructible?
We wouldn't take it into battle, but steel is pretty legit compared to aluminum, plastic, or glass containers.
